Desperately wanna be minimal-ish Drowning in clothes, shoes, and toys - oh and papers Does anyone here have any personal success stories of overcoming TOO MUCH stuff and living in peace, blank empty space? I’m so inspired by people who live with less My dream is to open cupboards and drawers and see empty space not stuff crammed in every possible nook and cranny - space between clothes on hangers This is my nursery and the only room I feel peace in

I’ve got a success story for you! I’ve been leaning into minimalism for many years now. My family decluttered and donated most of our possessions and hit the road as nomads. It was incredibly liberating! I started slow, one room at a time or would fill a few bags consistently and donate them. Setting things aside I was unsure about would give me time to see if I missed it. There’s something so powerful about clearing space and feeling lighter!

Have a friend who helps people with this, she could do it remote. Fun person too!

This book is really amazing in that regard. We have not been able to implement much from it yet... but the photos of simple living spaces are really inspiring. I think it would be better for our kids, too, just to have less stuff surrounding them. https://themontessorinotebook.com/the-montessori-toddler
