Yeah I'm interested in learning how to make a couple of saddle bags/ panniers for my bike -- rolltop style. The design i have is pretty simple. What I need besides fabric is determine how to make the attachment hardware

i haven't make the time to learn basics yet, but sashiko method of patching up my apparels are pretty easy

So true! I learned how to sew when I was 12 because we were poor and I only had my two older brothers hand me downs to wear. I sewed by hand and eventually got a used sewing machine from the neighborhood. I’ve been so interested in these skills since I was a young, probably because having nothing meant I had to be self-sufficient. I love watching survival shows like Alone because that’s another skill set that’s lost to many and I definitely don’t know any survival skills (yet!). Been thinking of learning how to trap squirrels because they’re a menace to my garden lol.
