I can’t speak for others, but I might have around 111 days off a year. I focus more on cultivating autonomy, pleasure, pause, and social connection than chasing high productivity, whatever that even means for humans in April 2025.

These days, I don’t really think in terms of “what would happen to the World if…” or “what would happen to my country if…”, there are people getting paid a lot to do just that. I just try to understand the rules, follow them, and make the most of the environment I live in.

Because if I start thinking in terms of productivity, control, and efficiency, life gets bitter real fast. I’ve learned that the hard way.

I’ll answer your question out of courtesy and to share my general view: I believe it could be done. We could live with way more vacation time given today’s tech and resources. But naturally, it would require an adjustment.

That adjustment wouldn’t be a return to the primitive age, but the return of the primitive.
