The famous Czech artist Alfons Mucha was entrusted with the development of the country's new graphic style. He was the author of the design of the first banknotes, postage stamps, government letterheads, envelopes, and also proposed a variant of the national emblem. Alphonse Mucha's banknotes are still considered to be among the most beautiful in the world.
