Now we live in a world of electronic money. I can't remember the last time I used paper money or coins. But money is an object of art, because many banknotes were designed by the world's great artists. After the First World War, Czechoslovakia gained independence. The famous Czech artist Alfons Mucha was entrusted with the development of the country's new graphic style. He was the author of the design of the first banknotes, postage stamps, government letterheads, envelopes, and also proposed a variant of the national emblem. Alphonse Mucha's banknotes are still considered to be among the most beautiful in the world. They are distinguished by openwork patterns, delicate details, and a range of colors from soft pink to deep green. You donβt even want to spend such banknotes, they are so beautiful.
