It's time to move away from terminology that doesn't get this point across. People want a North Star? Here it is...

The whole reason Ethereum was created was to provide people with a way to use the security of decentralized blockchains in any way that could computationally be expressed.

The EVM was created to realize this vision by providing Turing-complete computational capabilities to allow anyone to customize what could be secured by robust and economically-sound decentralized consensus networks. Then everyone else saw the value of providing such a system and is trying to do it better with Ethereum.

I respect people who take the time to counter his nonsense but he's been intellectually dishonest ever since he became a Alt L1 VC, which is a shame because I learned so much from his pre VC writing

I hadn’t liked his tweets in like a year b/c it was just "SoL gOnNa FlIp EtH" every day with some BS reason he knows isn’t true. But my final straw was when he tweeted Toly saying "make blockchain fast" vs the Ethereum roadmap and then said "I rest my case." It’s so intellectually dishonest to compare a slogan to a detailed technical implementation plan, and he knows it

Compared to someone like Mert who actually has valid technical comments about comparing ETH to SOL

I'm still trying to make my up my mind about him. Doesn't help that he has some asshole-ish tendencies
