Someone explain this to me: BTC down 5% ETH goes down 10% BTC up 5% ETH only goes up 3% Seems like ETH only moves like an alt-coin in the downward direction these days?

bitcoin is more legitimate in the eyes of the people (and institutions) that move markets. People are also catching on that ETH doesn’t recover like BTC, so they choose to buy the BTC dip over ETH

Something I left out of this is that Solana and many other alts do recover and recover more than Ethereum Just have this feeling we’re starting to see the fall of an empire in terms of the “main” alt. Many things point to Solana taking the throne in the next 5 years, but I could be wrong. Also, don’t tell anyone on Farcaster I said this. They will have my account deleted!!

SOLs price is more palatable than ETH so psychologically it feels like a “better deal” when you’re buying dips. You can buy like 15 SOL for the price of 1 ETH. Why buy 0.25 ETH when you can buy 4 SOL for the same price? It’s silly but that’s one of the reasons you see stock splits so often in tradfi
