The strategic reserve news has got me down tbh—every now and then I think we work in a joke of an industry and then something like this affirms it

To be clear I think there is a lot to be proud of about where crypto is at, but the more it is co-opted by Emperor Orange et al, the less I personally want to associate with it

I feel like this happens with many things that are accepted at scale by a culture. It never is quite how you imagined it.

Kinda like a news reporter explaining your story, but they need to do it in oversimplified ways that don't tell the whole story. 

I still think all of this is sign of progress, even if it's messy and not the original intent.
