Recently getting into buying what’s in-season. Not just because it’s cheaper, but because I think it might affect our bodies in ways we might not understand For example, perhaps eating pumpkin in fall prepares our bodies for the winter months somehow?

Absolutely — fall is a season to fortify yourself ahead of the resource-scarce winter Pumpkin and other fall produce can be really nourishing and build up warmth in the body before it has to get through the winter months
