idk if it's b/c bags or ideology, but if they didn't contribute in many ways, i think solana et al would give eth an even harder time

Just saying it’d be riskier for CB to build on a more centralized alt L1 (in part because the core team / lab / foundation could end up competing with CB services, similar to how Binance runs a competitive exchange).
