Unless you live in a swing state the signal you send voting for a 3rd party candidate will likely matter more in the long run than voting party lines.

"AGI in 5 yrs" feels too obvious. Is this predicting flying cars after 100 years of transportation innovation, right at the top of the s curve? 1. Experts all incentivized to say AGI is imminent to keep money flowing into their companies. 2. Investors need something big to shill LPs as tech and economy cools. What's bigger than AGI? 3. "Computers will do everything" is too easy to imagine after 20 years of tech automation, inflating expectations. 4. Fear of job loss and doomerism is a brilliant sales move because it gets people to skip the step of actually questioning if AGI is possible. 5. All of my non-tech family members (who faded the internet, mobile, crypto, and basically every tech trend) "know AI is coming" 6. We don't really understand how our own brains work yet. 7. AI hasn't changed my life and I don't see much day-to-day use or hear about daily use outside of hype/fear of future. 8. It feels scary to even question AI, like I'm committing tech treason. It's obviously the future. Right?

Slowly realizing the ideal barbell in this market is momentum trading the dumbest assets possible like GME, WIF, etc. and storing the rest in risk off cash and commodities.
