Making “anti-AI” a core part of the new progressive / left identity is a massive mistake. But there it is.

Seems more likely young and or smart progressives / leftists embrace AI as a means to UBI and better (and shorter) working conditions

Unfortunately it's both. Old fart liberals have a lot more % in being anti-AI but also many genuine leftists are too.

Fwiw the concern around stolen data is true, especially for visual gen. it's pretty lame how that just got accepted among the tech circles.

My claim about new/young progressives and leftists being more realistic and accepting of the adoption of AI is biased by my own experiences. Some actual polling data would be interesting
