My biggest takeaway from the French election is that when centrists finally work with leftists (and this is the first time they did it), the far right can be beaten.

This is how - the less favourite centrist candidates from Macron's Ensemble or from the left's LFI stood down, so that anti-RN voters could all vote the same candidate, instead of splitting the vote. Worked pretty well.
