There is a lot of discussion on Farcaster of getting more people to use Farcaster. I think it’s obvious that you should just invite people to use it. This is how I started using it.

You need to target people who actually respect the platform and would take an interest in the community. They should come from all different backgrounds, but also shouldn’t have giant egos. They should be down to earth people who just like to post, share information, and interact.

There already seems to be lots of tech people and VCs so there’s not an obvious point in further saturating the platform with this type of individual. There is a big world out there with all diverse types of people looking for a home. I believe its possible to build a community wherever the infrastructure works.

The single most useful thing anyone can do to help Farcaster is invite 1 person and be their Farcaster sherpa for the first month.

1. Onboard them

2. Start a direct cast with them (make sure they keep notifications on)

3. Start sending them interesting people and casts

4. Answer their questions

5. Encourage them to cast in channels they might have top 10% (or 1% knowledge on)

The founder of Cyber Capital strongly opposes these L2 solutions, stating that they have no way to provide security and stability at the same level as the Ethereum main network. Externally, he stated that although there have been no unfavorable situations such as financial losses for household users, the existence of such capabilities is a high level of concern.

Chasing users fleeing another platform is not a long-term valuable strategy.

Effort is better spent trying to figure out the compelling reason for people to join the network independently.

If you have that, then you can use sudden external entropy to help grow.

But sign ups for the sake of sign ups don’t matter.
