I made my first prediction on Polymarket today and the entire narrative of it hiding crypto and being A++ UX is just not at all true. It took me about 40m to get USDC on Polygon and then POL so I could send it. I eventually just gave up and a friend sent me $20 in POL.

MATIC is now called POL. They upgraded it and I believe it requires the user to do something to migrate to it.

I wish Polygon would clearly answer the question of, "Why couldn't you do any of this with MATIC?" Even the "motivation" sections of the PIPs I clicked into talk about the power of POL, but never why POL is needed in place of MATIC.
