It’s really about weight distribution and stability. Try it, wall sideways first lifting you front foot first, then again back foot. Back foot is awkward for normal humans but you can feel how grounded you are. Front foot first, someone could push you off your line very easy, back foot not so much.

why shouldn't you pick up your front foot first?

I don’t think it was rigged but I think the minute it was clear to Paul that he could knock Mike out at any minute he decided not to. May weather gave the same courtesy to McGregor. 

You could see Tyson still had the instincts, defense and punch but his legs were just cooked. A lesser fighter than Paul could have stepped to the side and hit him repeatedly. No lateral movement.

It’s truly the least organized sport. There are big fights almost every Saturday night. There are multiple promoters and networks and sanctioning bodies and it’s a huge
mess and the reason why UFC are boxing’s lunch. 

I usually good every Saturday who is fighting. Main event is typically at 11pm et which is also rough.

how to get into it? is it weekly league type thing or what? this reminds me of years ago post world cup wanting more 'soccer' & needing to go shopping for a club to support
