have had a crisis of confidence lately

social media is a necessary evil in order to succeed in some domains

but... what if i voted with my fork 

...and went back to an industry that doesn't require it

no kings. only working on impossible things.

reframing

yeah, i'm working on that with /reframing: a place to practice being a better participant

but... am i just rolling in the mud?

heavy weight on me rn, tbh. it's noble to suffer for a cause, but... is it buying into a false premise? 

what if my better contribution to society is strong internal happiness and the second order effects thereof?

Either that or make it bettter. Both valid options

I feel this struggle! 

I honestly wouldn't be on social media if it wasn't for work. 

I know you do this too, but that's why I have to go offline and go outside regularly! I was just thinking yesterday that I'm due for a camping trip. 

Also, it's why l work part time irl doing something physical and tangible. Gets me off the screens and in the world being of service to ppl in my local community.

I refuse to believe that you have to be "all in" on this industry to succeed. If we can't enable people to keep at least one foot grounded in the real world, then what are we really doing here?
