If you were building a new dApp in consumer web3, how would you choose which chain/L2 to build on to optimize for product growth? Seems like the two major factors are adoption and gas fees.

imo Polygon is the top choice right now. it's EVM, it's cheap, it's popular, and it's fast. checks all my boxes.

More people have eth than matic though - even if it's cheaper and faster, do you think you'd have better growth if you went with Ethereum directly?

I use ETH as a secure store of value (eg. my important NFTs and crypto portfolio there) but I use Polygon for anything I might interact with commonly (Lens, my trading wallet, my org's keys) MATIC is also much easier to acquire than most other L2's because you can bridge any asset and then swap to MATIC for free.

the cheap + fast aspect of Polygon makes it a delightful experience, which I think is key to growth. ETH may be the gold standard, but the cost is a barrier to interaction and experimentation, which breed familiarity and comfort, which spawns growth (as I see it).

How do you use polygon to interact with org keys?
