components came a few days ago, which means there are no more blockers to full-speed-ahead. 

been writing firmware, backend, and UI since their arrival — and benchmarking battery life and processing power on the microcontrollers. 

shaped the case for the main unit today and pushed it over to the printer overnight. we'll find out tomorrow how my measurement gambles play out.

Adafruit is kickass, by the way. there's drivers and guides and python libraries for every single component i bought from them. it seriously could not be easier. 10/10 would recommend.

everything is moving really quickly. Fusion 360 continues to shine as some of the most consistently impressive software i've ever used, and i haven't really... i haven't run into any blockers yet. nothing has caught me in a troubleshooting quagmire, everything has just been working, and answers to my questions abound.

no kings. only working on impossible things.

where you getting your boards fabbed? or are they off the shelf?

everything is off the shelf for now. will probably turn to PCBWAY or JLCPCB when it's time to fab carrier boards and instrument clusters. still working to source a handful of basic components and playing around with various input modes. 

currently indexing on prototyping speed, so I'm letting everything be really ugly while I build out functionality. once I know what i can do/want to do on the software side, I'll start optimizing the hardware to be especially good at those things.
