for example, the above can state payment method immediately, no pause, no upsells etc. likewise when I want weather with Siri, I say “weather”. A timer, “30m timer”.

I never ever use voice commands. I hate talking to my devices. I agree that there is a UX unlock here, but I also am on the fence about the use case.

I never watch videos unless I have headphones on, either. I hate it when stuff is gated behind video. Unrelated activity, but related in the sense of: 

- I don't like making sounds. From my mouth or from my devices. When I'm interacting with technology I want silence.

I have to get over this before I'll ever be able to embrace talking to my devices. I think it has to become good enough to be natural language. I don't know. In general I find it cringe every time someone holds their phone up in front of them and yaps some prompts at it. 

But I also hate talking on the phone in general and I really hate it when ppl are talking on speakerphone in public.

It's strange to have such strong feelings about it.
