Ha! The Chinese have their algos figured out ;) With a FC client, people can see the same content published on Warpcast but with a different UI. Not an expert on the topic, but I guess you can have a more anticapitalist algo by default, and putting greater emphasis on the Regen movement and descentralization.

YES! Seamlessly integrating Bluesky is definitely the way to go in terms of onboarding. You can use 🍞 for a bsky lookalike but with micropayments, a Twitter+Patreon kind of app.

Definitely Warpcast isn't being built from a credibly neutral perspective, and just like X I feel the algo rewards a certain type of content I don't vibe with it. But as Dan always replies to criticism with the "build your own client then" gotcha, we might as well go ahead with it...

In a FC client you'd still be able to see the the posts from everyone in the network. The only difference would be what the algo rewards for the home feed (or if you want to add functionalities on top of the existing ones), but it does not imply creating a bubble of leftist-only content

The FC client does not imply you only hang out among leftist people though. It's just about having a better suited UI for our goals and purposes, while leveraging the existing network. You'd still see posts from that client on Warpcast and viceversa, if I understand correctly how these things work.

Yeah all of that's true. No need to make it explicitly cryptoleftist though, you can always sugarcoat it with some regen aesthetic. It's more about creating a cozy space for this very particular niche of crypto people. And ofc it's just a dream, I can barely code an if statement!

We really need a cryptoleftist farcaster client. This network is meant to be used from an opinionated UI. You could emphasize solidarity and organizing features, and give people the possibility to fine-tune their algorithm as they wish. It would be a great place for exploring the possibilities of digital democracy.
