How do FHE practitioners deal with the fact that whenever you mention "homomorphic" anything, stupid people on the internet act like it has something to do with homosexuality?

Is there some other term that we're supposed to use? Use "FHE" without ever unrolling the acronym? Something else?

Cryptography in general is very prone to lean taxonomically in naming conventions, or using the initials of the inventors of approaches. I’m not sure how to solve that problem, but it's singularly the reason why so many people feel so scared to learn even some aspect of it, on top of the math.
