There’s two possibilities: - your hardware wallet was one of the ones that used poor entropy in generating a seed phrase and finally ended up in the carousel of wallets that got popped - the grimmest possibility, one I’ve been warning about

I have a proof of concept that enhances Pollard's Rho such that it speeds up the search in solving the DLP. It's not a complete break, but if it were deployed at a large nation state scale, could crack a 256-bit ECC key (secp256k1, ed25519) in about a year. Highly unlikely what hit Boro, but if it's not bad entropy,

FWIW there are faster algorithms than Rho for solving DLP, but even they still take a considerably long enough time that 256 bit ECC is considered “safe”. This approach remains in the spirit of Rho (rather than index calculus or function field sieve)
