PSA We're migrating Warpcast's direct cast system to v2 in the next day or two. Significantly improved performance and reliability. - We are *not* saving v1 direct casts (they're already ephemeral) - Starting tomorrow Warpcast team will be on v2 - We will then onboard a small group of both iOS and Android testers

What’s the biggest difference between V1 and V2? Is there a blogpost somewhere that outlines the architectures?

The biggest difference is multiple devices under an account are no longer trying to play catch up with one another, which was the biggest source of decryption failures. Instead, each device will properly have their own inbox queue, which is aligned with the FIP for DCs so that if adopted, migrating is straightforward.

FIP: https://github.com/farcasterxyz/protocol/discussions/99 Also, it means supporting group conversations is a matter of UX work, no additional cryptography work will be needed.
