Age is a poor predictor of health and capability for an individual. For statistical analysis of populations it can be useful, but elections generally are focused on just a few people. As a counterpoint regarding 60 years of age: Halle Berry is about to turn _58_.

It’s not just health and capability (although those matter a lot). It’s ability to adapt to change, understanding new technology, having lots of energy to tackle big hard things.
