on the degen side of things, how do you see the development of points vs memecoins? how should early projects optimize the cost of recording merit?

This is always going to be situationally dependent. Points have been around for ages in varying capacities, well before web3, and are the clearest display of social capital complimentary to financial capital. Memecoins, to me, are one of the things I personally dislike the most about crypto.
