One additional note: enclosed in the repo is a fork of go-libp2p I hope to get the changes of merged back into mainline — it includes an update to peer keys such that they support ed448, which is previously unsupported. This is a necessary addition for Q (and in general), more details to follow.

PeerID is a separate thing, you do not need to run a node to use the vouchers, but to run a validating node without having to first participate in a round of proof of meaningful work, you need to import any valid voucher. This is to ensure that there are as many active nodes the moment the network launches as possible

Correct, as @trinitek mentioned, you'll need to have Go installed (https://go.dev/), along with knowing the exact path to the voucher file. If you're uncomfortable with command line tools, do not worry, these instructions are for folks who want to run full node clients – you can claim your vouchers after the launch.

Cassie, full disclosure, I have no idea what I’m doing with this (yet)😅 … Do I need to install something on my Mac to be able execute that “go run” command in Terminal that retrieves the Peer ID?  I tried simply plugging in the pathname as indicated but without success.

Yep, peer ids are just identifiers within the peer mesh, the prover key is separate and intended to not be necessarily linked to the peer id as a peer can just be a proxy
