What complicates this is IQ is a somewhat poor scoring metric of intelligence. There are many forms, such as EQ, and optimizing for one via eugenics would lead to the erosion of others. We would need significantly better metrics than our current approach for this to be viable.

I think the way to solve for this is to allow for different parents to optimize for different traits Lebron makes tall kids, Elon makes aspy-smart ones etc
