oh this is such a rabbit hole, really dangerous and fun question to ask if you're just getting into making your own coffee, a common #1 rule is that the grinder is more important than the coffee machine for grinders you're generally looking for something with burrs (vs blade). burrs give a more consistent grind so you avoid over/under extracted flavors (simply - you don't accidentally burn half the beans). I use the Baratza Encore but there's a lot of options available! when you get to coffee machines.. it's truly how much do you want to spend. I always do pour-overs so can't recommend as well here, but a few friends have the Breville's Bambino or Barista Express and enjoy them also make sure you're finding a good coffee roaster and using their fresh beans! if you ask, great ones will often give you estimates on how fine a grind to use for the various drinks you want to make, so you can really extract the flavor profile

Good grinder +1 For espresso you wanna go with something with more fine control than the encore. 1Zpresso if you donβt mind a hand grinder, is high quality at a decent price. Plenty of high end quality electric grinders but spendy. I use a Flair 58 which is a cool manual espresso machine. Would highly recommend if you take the time to learn it
