Today I’m excited to announce our investment in @sceneinfra, a new software organization coming out of @fwb

SIC is on a mission to streamline and sharpen those experiments by turning the best ideas from FWB into an “operating system” for communities built around web3 technologies.

Heading up SIC are @okjose and @ethandaya— two talented builders that we’ve admired for a long time. Both have spent their careers driving the cutting edge of crypto and culture, and have deep experience at some of the strongest brands in consumer crypto – Jose at @dapperlabs and FWB and Ethan at @zora.

Jose and Ethan are very well positioned to use their first-hand knowledge of communities like FWB to bootstrap SIC’s product development. We’re proud to support them as they help define and power the second generation of crypto social platforms.

Many of us know FWB as one of the original social DAOs. When it first formed back in 2021, FWB was one of only a few entry points to crypto for creatives, and the software projects built within it were community-driven experiments in building new kinds of social platforms.
