If you believe we will have AGI (or something close to it), you have to believe crypto will survive. Because crypto is the only financial system that will treat AI as a first class citizen. AI that exists to perpetuate itself will be able to spin up its own crypto.

Listened to @patrick-oshag's pod ep w Tyler Cowen this morn. All day I've been thinking abt his claim that status games are rarely the games that matter. Is there a category of ppl for whom status games are a net good (for society, goals, fulfillment)? What characterizes them?
