IRL use case of crypto: Devcon, Bangkok. We went for a coffee tasting ☕ everyone wanted to buy the coffee, to be delivered 2ds later. 8 different orders. Total~ USD 600 paid in local cash Thai Baht 🚨 PROBLEM 1: Payment from 8 international people is complex. They only took cash. Even with online/digital payments, it'd be card or bank transfers. Bad exchange rates, blocked cards, bank fees, typos in acct numbers, delays in int. transfers... - Solution: I withdrew & paid it all - Better Solution: Roastery having a wallet address, we all send USDC and they easily swap for a local stablecoin and can offramp 🚨 PROBLEM 2: Get paid by 8 diff people from diff countries? - Best Solution: I created a new @coinbasewallet. They paid in USDC on Ethereum and Base. I didnt have any gas, so I used @matchaxyz gasless (Matcha Auto) and cross chain to swap it all into cbBTC. Low/no fee, instant, private, simple, hastle free. Crypto for the win!

Every once in a while I get randomly logged out of WC on desktop. Also sometimes the site doesn’t work, but it is working on mobile. The way it behaves feels like a bug

Loving @jessepollak and @base 🔵 around the world focusing on everyday pain points. He exchanged $10 for Ruppes on a exchange house and paid 8% in fees 🤯 with full KYC+2 signatures It this was onchain would be nearly free and instantaneous — Had a similar issue *the problem* Parents bought 2k GBP in cash to visit me but due to covid I move to 🇨🇭 before they came. when they visited, I paid for them in CHF and they gave me cash in GBP 😪 THE PAIN BEGINS. Everything failed I come from a fintech background but even then couldn’t help. - don’t/can’t have a UK bank acct - wise and revolut don’t have cash deposits - exchange houses charge a horrendous fee & the worst exchange rate you’ve ever seen..stuck for months.. *my solution* Found someone moving from🇨🇭to 🇬🇧 Gave her cash and she transferred me through her Swiss bank acct (the last transfer before closing acct) Literally took 1y to trade GBP for CHF at a fair rate. If this was onchain would have been secs to solve it

week 2 of training complete✅ @carol influenced me to get a dji pocket 3 and i love it already it auto tracks my movements by detecting my face which is great for capturing workouts!! today’s session was: “bullet proof” knee exercises 3 x 5 snatch 3 x 5 front squat 3x 5 smith machine squats 3 x 5 lat pull down 3 x 5 hex bar dead lift 3 x 10 seated calf raise im SO tired😴
