Should Nouns expect/ encourage people and projects to be active contributors before they submit a candidate or prop? Asking because we're in a race to 0 for mints and treasury.

Is your thinking that >contribs will mean higher mints and therefore higher treasury? Nouns has had loooots of contribs for long time while having a reduced holder base. I agree with the concern tho, and definitely more contribs could help if the right peeps are found

It should not be expected. The meta of a circle that is loud and considered "active contributors" continually receiving funds while others not known being easily rejected needs to end. It's more fuel for that race to zero and dissuades newcomers.

I don't think so. This is not the PTA or an after school club, we are a decentralized group trying to fund ideas with the highest impact and those are completely separate to whether the person is expected to be a good community member. It would be an artificial limitation that would decrease the quality of our pipeline. Gatekeeping the Treasury to active community members is just the opposite of what Nouns has always been. Everyone is a Noun if you act Nounish, there is no purity tests.
