Ethereum is spending millions on marketing and educational initiatives. They're called localized communities (eth_cityname) and regional conferences (like EthLatAm). These investments resulted in small groups of wealthy and privileged communities pretending to create meaningful adoption. Just look at Honduras' onchain growth since hosting EthLatAm. This is only possible with coddling from the EF. We don't need more marketing. We need better capital allocation based on impact creation, not pontificating the potential for impact creation.

The onchain economy is full of non-technical builders excelling in business, science, media, and countless other domains. They build onchain because they believe crypto can drive human flourishing. This is an opportunity to drive innovation, creativity, and freedom while creating meaningful social, environmental, economic, and (enter yours) impact. This is a call to action for community builders, especially in emerging economies. Position your communities at the forefront of this transformation by embracing AI + crypto projects early. By doing so, you’ll enable your contributors to grow with this sector. It's important to recognize that the current AI + onchain landscape will quickly evolve. We can't even imagine what this sector will evolve. What we know as AI + onchain now, is just the start.

Leadership is earned through action, not abstract analysis. Ethereum L2s and apps have a troubling habit of elevating people based on perceived potential rather than a track record of impact. Writing thoughtful blog posts or essays does not equate to leadership. Too often, we platform individuals for their ability to pontificate on others’ work rather than their own value creation. We must resist the urge to reward signals of intellect over demonstrated action. Build a culture that celebrates execution over empty words. And for those who excel in commentary or research, encourage them to find roles where they can thrive—without placing them in leadership positions where they lack practical experience.

I worked with this community in LatAm for more than 12 months; funding impact, onboarding local businesses, and helping them source their own funding without me or anyone else serving as intermediaries. They were lured away from me in an attempt to colonize impact instead of creating net new impact. Long story short, they were not happy with imposed overlords and reached out to restart the project with my support. I welcome them back without resentment or hard feelings for the parties that lured them away. I want to spread the onchain economy to people and places that need it most and are willing to grind for growth. If others are able to scale this impact and deliver growth opportunities for the people creating the impact, I'm happy to let anyone else give it a go.
