What role does ETH mainnet play in this cycle? With so much attention being driven to L2s like @base it begs the question... are people ever going to use L1 again? Is that a bad thing if the answer is no? And what does that mean for ETH as a store of value? Discuss.

I will always use mainnet for my original art. There is more security with it long term so it’s better for more valuable assets.

Let’s suppose Base achieves an optimal level of decentralization and adoption (I.e. it’s seen as a first place to deploy and collect artworks), you would still feel that way? I personally don’t see mainnet sustainable neither to artists nor to collectors long term.
