gonna πŸ’© on LinkedIn for a bit here. You know that cheesy post format? Here's an easy way to hack that. Write text, then ask Gemini 1.5 Pro (free) to rewrite it for you. Don't tell me that response wouldn't blow up LinkedIn cuz I just won't believe u.

Post your finance management hacks here. Here's mine. I use WaveApps to FREELY automate most of my finance accounting/management and create cash flow / P&L / balance sheet statements. I hear secondhand how QuickBooks can be rough on the $$. https://www.waveapps.com/

Got called an asshole today by a kind, blind Southern man today. Lesson? Get your app UI/UX REALLY dialed in b4 trying to act as free personal support to non tech-savvy users.

Yo, who's using dialpad here? Trying to record my customer support + outreach & I might get a few free "ai lines". Would like to put them to good use. Any tips?

GM! Just had a fun call with a blind Alabama gent trying to navigate my app. He had the deepest Alabamer drawl I've heard in a while. I had to really perk my ears to understand. Southerners do it different :)

I should be able to sync Warpcast on multiple Desktops, right? So, is the linking capability down today? I keep seeing on web when trying to get my other devices hooked up to my account.

Tell that to my friend, who prefers to drink out of water bottles that have been sitting in the car on warm days. On a real note tho - it's big pharma / the powers that be keeping our population dumb with purposeful neglect or sheer incompetence. Speaking from a US perspective πŸ™

I am enjoying Thunderbird, but made the mistake of downloading all my emails locally. So it feels super clunky. I guess that's the price of free. Also here to hear from others.

Dan, I really don't think you'll solve the "Twitter Problem" (#1/#2). "Peer 2 Public" spam is solved via moderation & preference management. P2P (DMs) or P2Many (DM automation) is solvable. P2Public is not. How about adding an "I don't like this" option that hides similarly vibed casts?

Yea, that's a pretty deep economic question. In short, it's just worth it for the spammers to operate that way.

That's not Apple though. The folks at DUNS are notoriously aggressive with their outreach / data sales tactics. Maybe you meant, Apple's irresponsible in that it chose to use DUNS? That just means there's some $$ being exchanged between the two. "It's just business"

Yes, I block all unknown calls + require a refundable deposit for unknowns to make my phone ring or my email buzz.

One way attacks. I like that, it's a nice description. And yes, you'd enjoy the "Payments At Risk" method described by some Cisco guys and nearly "crypto'ized" by them in a IETF for "SIPCoin". https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-rosenberg-stir-sipcoin/ I make versions of this myself. Tis fun.

Truth. Are you using any sms or call filtering apps though? They can help. Numbers won't dissapear until we invent telepathy. So, call it ~200 years from now. Even if numbers disappeared tomorrow, the spam would shift to others mediums. It's the tactics / culture / expectations that is ripe for change in our lifetime.

By far the worst feature on my phone is the phone itself. Receiving OTP text messages like this and scam calls despite having a new number feels archaic. When will we just do away with phone numbers entirely?
