I really hate that this is relevant again but I miss so many replies unless I check Recaster. I don’t think many people realize they have a spam label. People most likely aren’t ignoring your replies. If you have a spam label, they don’t get a notification even if you tag them. I only see this because I check Recaster daily because a large majority of people in the /anime-manga community have spam labels. I don’t get notified about their posts even with notifications turned on for the channel. They are members. I’m the host. I should get notifications that they posted!

There is less engagement in general I feel. And I don’t know if it is bc people are tagged as spam or if people are engaging less. 

Is the “power badge” still a thing?

I’m a writer and an editor. I love art, literature, music, and to drink good coffee. I practice Ashtanga yoga. I’m here to connect and learn. 

Power Badges are truly gone but there are new spam labels and they have “levels”.

Ohh, levels! Wow. It is getting sophisticated. I hope there are not so many people labeled as “spam” as a mistake.

I remember that some time ago, many artists were classified as spam. It might be still the case then.

The issue it’s not “spam” as we traditionally think of it. 

It’s the algo thinking you are “spammy” which is VERY subjective and people don’t realize they are classified in that way.
