it's been just over 1 week since the kids last saw their mother yet so far so good, no tears or breakdowns used a big cheat code though by bringing them over to their grandparents (my parents) for the holidays the real dad test will be when we head back next week and mom still won't be home for another week 🧢

It can hurt a bit, but I think it is very good for them to deepen the relationship with you. These moments are important.
