Who are your heroes? Who do you look to for guidance on how to be a virtuous person? (non-family/friends) 500 degen tip for up to 10 answers @bountybot - can you make this into a bounty? Context I think it's important to have civilizational heroes — people (historical or present-day) that we look to for examples of virtue and for guidance. But increasingly feel like there's no room for heroes to exist in our modern world. Wondering how others relate to this, and who they look to outside of family/friends.

That is a very good question. I’ve been thinking about it for a while. It is difficult to find heroes and masters nowadays. Most of the ones who tried to fulfill this role are devoured by capitalism. Funny enough, yesterday evening I watched again kung fu panda and in the film there are some masters. I think the beautiful message has to do with believing. If you believe in something and focus, it will work. Last week, I watched a YouTube video by Charles Eisenstein. This guy has nice ideas. His name was a recommendation by @ilannnnnnnnkatin He shares an optimistic view but he is very realistic. But in general, I think I look for inspiration (more then guidance) in art, literature, and films. I mean, in culture. https://youtu.be/h4zGuuCE5Yk?si=dnYANUhFaS3nd7jJ

(I'm a huge closet Kung Fu Panda fan) Appreciate the thoughtful answer and the video. I can see why you'd look more to art, literature, and film. $500 degen
