While the election didn't produce the result I wanted nor expected, I've always try to navigate the chasm between political parties with whatever grace I have available to me. So, for the channel and the discourse in it I ask the same. Please treat each other with care and focus on each other's humanity here. Alos, let's take a minute to appreciate that we are so early and part of a movement that raises the voice and power of the individual. Decentralization has always been about empowering a network of peers to me, so let's keep that mind and build the future we want to see. We're likely at the start of a seismic shift in policy regarding crypto. So, I hope you will embrace this opportunity with me and just build a stronger community, the $units token, and the relationships that make us capable of overcoming whatever obstacles we see before us. lfgo 💛

The US runs on 2 year cycles, I wouldn't be too disheartened. We ofc need to see just how many of agenda items they try to enact, but we have a very robust system of states. I stand optimistic and hopeful.

I think the country will survive. But I’m worried about the geopolitics and wars, as well as immigration policies.

Yeah, I weep for the people that have already sacrificed so much, too much. I hope wisdom prevails now that the rhetoric of a political campaign is over. Immigration policies are about to hit a wall, since half of immigrants work in the food, ag, and service industry. Deporting them all (aside from the humanitarian horror of it) would send prices skyrocketing, a key issue for voters. So, I'm not sure it will manifest the way they promised or it will and we will see what happens when you take 25% of a workforce and push them out of the country.

I think you are right. One thing is the discourse of the campaign. And the other one is what will be done. Let’s hope it is milder than the discourse.
