Why are Europeans referred to on the internet as “Europoors?” When I am in Europe I perceive a relatively highly standard of living, infrastructure development and public safety. I do not see many Europoors.

But more “seriously” I think it’s a dual thesis - Rank n file ‘Murica Americans like mogging Europeans about WWII + post-war prosperity/power arcs in the global world order - American elites on the Internet like doing that too but church it up w nerd dunks about GDPR and other perceived/real restrictions

Oh yeah I meant why can’t I remove the lid when I’m here, it’s a pollution thing makes sense. Agreed on post WWII American victory lapping. I do feel a sense of superabundance in parts of America although it’s also mixed with more extreme poverty and insecurity

oooh got it got it the superabundance spikes imo is a feature not a bug for a lot of people bc it sets up the scaffolding for the modern myth of the American dream while also placing the burden of culpability of poverty onto the impoverished themselves
