you'll have to wait until tomorrow tldr; WC does some expensive work nightly to re-order your Link store such that additional follows result in LinkRemove messages (e.g. unfollow) getting pruned rather than older LinkAdds (e.g. follows). until that happens we block following to prevent data loss
