My gut tells me if we stopped the tipping culture in the US, the actual money made by restaurants/workers wouldn’t change much. Wdyt?

Would be interesting! If it changed, I can't see it impacting restaurants' profitability + or -, but I am not sure there would be any workers willing to work for minimum wage only. (this change would require sensible minimum wage legislation)
