Rendang is a traditional dish from the Minangkabau region of Indonesia, consisting of beef that is slowly cooked in coconut milk and a blend of signature spices such as lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, chili, and various other seasonings. The long cooking process, often taking several hours, allows the flavors to fully penetrate the meat, resulting in a tender texture and a rich, complex taste.
