If we had an opt-in "read receipt" mode, a la Instagram Stories or group chats, for casts, would you turn it on?

What problem does this solve?

This creates problems for me. The only thing read receipts do for me are make me feel guilty for not answering people more quickly. 🤔

I think this solves a problem of knowing if someone is online 

But that’s not really a problem that I personally want solved. I think that creates a toxic social media environment. 

Like moving your mouse at a 9-5 you don’t care about to make sure your status is “green”
