Eminem has brought back the concept album with his latest record, 'The Death of Slim Shady'. Are concept albums a dying breed? Streaming services have changed the way many listen to music. Lots of people don't listen to actual albums in the order they were supposed to be anymore...or albums at all. What are your thoughts?

Great question! Though they're not as common anymore, I do think concept albums might make a comeback soon-ish, with Eminem here being proof. With more and more artists looking for alternatives to streaming and social media fatigue being becoming generalized, I see strong storytelling where artists reunite with their fans in a way that is meaningful and supportive for everyone involved. Full albums might have lost some of their appeal, but when deciding to go down that route artists need to tie that back to the rest of their world building.

Love this and 100% agree. It's all about the story telling and if an artist wants their creativity to be listened to in full, concept albums are a great way to do this. 50 $DEGEN

100%! For my last project, I interviewed a lot of indie musicians to know how they manage to keep doing what they do. The tools varied wildly, but the main connective thread was basically world building - which I see as taking storytelling to the next level. Now, let me go listen to this Eminem album hehe thanks for putting it on my radar.
