I just wanted to buy a self-published title from the authors' own webpage. Amazon US Kindle store w/ my Turkish mail address is my usual store. I click, and again that abominal warning: This title is not available in your location. 99% of self-published books have this problem. That's why I am forced to order paperbacks most of the time which usually at least doubles the price of the book because of handling + shipping + other taxes. OK, let's check other shops. iBooks? Geo-limited. Kobo? Geo-limited. Barnes? Geo-limited. I honestly miss Noughties mediafire, rapidshare, and bittorrent mess.

BitTorrent mess was wholesome in that way. There should be easier ways to support indie writers. @paragraph and other platforms allow to purchase writing direct from the authors but it’s mostly newsletters and short-form writing for now. What a similar solution for books?
