As a user with a Farcaster account, I'd rather see someone's Farcaster username in your app than their ENS. I interact with people's Farcaster username, not their ENS. The namespace more closely associated with online identity and my social graph will win.

yeah that makes sense if you're a farcaster user, ENS will always have more users tho so for dapps it makes more sense to integrate it, but yeah why not both (could link your farcaster acc to your ens name too)

Why would a namespace have more users than a social network when both are mature?

maybe not per definition but theres reasons to get an ENS name for non social uses so maybe has better network effects and more users most addresses on ethereum should be named imo

Agree that every address should be named. But a successful social network will inherently have more network effects and users than a successful namespace. The dominant social graph will become the dominant user namespace (not the dominant DNS). https://warpcast.com/kyle/0xbeb5e057

theres many big namespaces atm (diff social networks, gaming, messaging, bank, tlds and more(not just western)) most of that could be build on eth, social networks are just 1, all could be subdomains🤷‍♂️ love farcaster but dont think nec that it will have more network effects than every dapp on eth combined
