Fellow Dads, what are you best tips for finding your flow state and optimal work environment when you often work at home? Impossible task and just need to get out of the house? π

I do a bit of office work in the wintertime, and generally have a couple of rhythms which work for me. Prearranged evening where I can block out a big chunk of time for office work and my wife does post dinner clean up and bed times etc. a 6PM-11PM block can get a lot accomplished (we eat dinner on the early side), allows more time intensive projects beyond the more consistent 9-11 PM shift. Try to keep a morning a week which has a similar block - donβt schedule meetings etc. and the same day of the week. Works well unless we get a snow day. My blessing is my office deadlines are typically measured in weeks, so I can make pushed one week and be more relaxed. Also door closed, headphones on can be helpful for me as well.
