Is there a future where the trade offs are still worth it, for example in the gaming space where there is already a big community of users, it may be easier to get new users to your project to add a discord channel than to try a new protocol?

Happy for the disruption and the future, though reckon their is still valid reasons for launching your community via discord for some.
